| dc.description.abstract | The pKa values of maleic and fumaric acid have been determined potentiometrically in the presence and in the absence of differently charged micelles. The ionization of maleic acid has been significantly affected (ΔpKa up to 1.91) by the presence of micelles, unlike the ionization of fumaric acid (ΔpKa up to +0.30). Observed shift in equilibrium forms is most expressed in pH range 2 – 6. | sr |
