AB - Background: Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been recognized by the International Pharmaceutical Federation as a required competency for a pharmacist. This study aimed to compare EI and Perceived Stress (PS) levels in pharmacists who completed the post-graduate specialization program (the Case), and pharmacists who started the program (the Control group). Materials and Methods: Validated instruments measuring EI and PS were distributed online to participating postgraduates or alumni. All complete responses were analyzed; data from participants who had undergone previous EI training were excluded. Comparing the groups, additional EI domains’ subanalysis and their correlations with PS were made. Results: The overall response rate was 67.8%. There was no expected difference between the groups either in EI or in the PS levels, and the overall population reached means of 119.30±12.92 and 17.25±6.46, respectively. The highest EI levels were found in sales and marketing professionals in the pharmaceutical industry and the lowest in clinical pharmacy practitioners. EI and PS were highly negatively correlated (r=-0,543), thus indicating that developing EI may have protective effects against stress. Subanalysis revealed the highest potential for stress-protective effects in the Emotional Self-Management and Emotional Self-Control subdomains (r=-0,528, r=-0,457, respectively). Conclusion: Given the expanded importance of EI development in pharmacy practice, the results of the study could be a basis for the specialization and continuing pharmacist education program creators to evaluate the curricula and propose changes in the methodologies, contents, and approaches in work to meet development needs of post-graduate pharmacists better. Further research should confirm the findings of the EI subanalysis.

AB - This study aims to demonstrate the improvements in clinical symptoms in patients with post-COVID syndrome after a community pharmacy-based intervention in Serbia. The Pharmaceutical Chamber of Serbia ("Chamber") invited pharmacists to deliver post-COVID patient care counselling, supported by the SMART Pharmacist Program, offering education and guidance. Present symptoms, duration and patient self-reported severity of symptoms on a scale of 1-5 on the first visit were recorded. After the counselling and proposed self-medication treatment, the time of the follow-up visit and the severity of the recorded symptoms were also recorded. The prospective data collection lasted from December 2021 to September 2022. In total, 871 patients with post-COVID symptoms were included in the study, served by 53 pharmacists. The most frequently reported post-COVID symptoms coincided with the literature, mostly related to the respiratory system (51.2%), immunity status (32.2%), fatigue and exhaustion (30.7%), skin, hair and nails (27.4%) and cognitive functions (27.9%). A total of 26.5% of patients were referred to their family physician (general practitioner), and 69.5% returned to the pharmacist for a follow-up visit. On the first visit, the median severity of patients' symptoms was three, while on the second visit it dropped to one. The pharmacists' intervention led to a significant improvement in the post-COVID patients' condition.

AB - Purpose: Pharmacists can enhance mHealth delivery by promoting the awareness and use of
health apps, while pharmacy students and early career pharmacists allow broader perspective
for further development. This study aimed to explore the experiences and attitudes of
pharmacy students and pharmacists, on the use, advantages and possible improvement of
available mHealth platforms in Serbia.
Methods: One-on-one interviews were conducted online in two phases, during March and
April 2020 (n = 40) and during March 2021 (n = 20), using a published, validated interview
guide which was adapted for this study. Interviews were transcribed ad verbatim, coded and
thematically analysed.
Results: Although participants recognized room for optimization, most apps had satisfactory
user experience. Participants used health apps as a source of updated information and tools
in education and work, but also for self-development. During working hours, participants
mostly used medication-related apps, however, it was shown that they use different health
apps in order to provide the best possible care to patients.
Conclusions: Greater insight into usage, expectations, benefits and challenges of mHealth in
pharmacy was obtained and can lead into better informed design of health apps to encou rage students and pharmacists, both as professionals and individuals, on the path of their
continuous improvement.

AB - Background: Community pharmacists contribute substantially to public health and person-centred care. Emotional intelligence (EI) may help health professionals better engage with patients, handle stress in challenging situations and, presumably, better introduce and implement new services. Aim: The study's aims were to compare the EI and perceived stress (PS) levels of community pharmacists who provided a new service to patients with diabetes with their controls who provided standard pharmaceutical services and to test the correlations between the two constructs. Method: This study used a survey methodology. Well-validated instruments were distributed electronically to all participating pharmacists. To compare the continuous EI and PS data between the two study groups, the paired-samples t test was used. Pearson and Spearman’s correlations were used to test the associations between EI and PS and their respective subdomains. Results: A total of 86 pharmacists participated in the study (n = 43 in each group). The study groups did not differ by any characteristic except gender. Their mean EI and PS levels were 120.95 ± 11.53 and 17.45 ± 4.55, respectively, with no difference between the groups. In both study groups, inverse correlations were found between PS and EI levels, with statistical significance in the control group and in the overall study population (r = − 0.611 and r = − 0.370, respectively). Conclusion: Our results suggest that the introduction of the EI agenda into certification programmes for new community pharmacy services should be considered. The results also suggest that higher EI may have protective effects against PS. Additional research would clarify the need to invest more in such programmes.

AB - This systematic literature review aimed to provide an overview of the characteristics and methods used in studies applying the Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALY) concept for infectious diseases within European Union (EU)/European Economic Area (EEA)/European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries and the United Kingdom. Electronic databases and grey literature were searched for articles reporting the assessment of DALY and its components. We considered studies in which researchers performed DALY calculations using primary epidemiological data input sources. We screened 3,053 studies of which 2,948 were excluded and 105 studies met our inclusion criteria. Of these studies, 22 were multi-country and 83 were single-country studies, of which 46 were from the Netherlands. Food- and water-borne diseases were the most frequently studied infectious diseases. Between 2015 and 2022, the number of burden of infectious disease studies was 1.6 times higher compared to that published between 2000 and 2014. Almost all studies (97%) estimated DALYs based on the incidence- and pathogen-based approach and without social weighting functions; however, there was less methodological consensus with regards to the disability weights and life tables that were applied. The number of burden of infectious disease studies undertaken across Europe has increased over time. Development and use of guidelines will promote performing burden of infectious disease studies and facilitate comparability of the results.

Development and use of guidelines will promote performing burden of infectious disease studies and facilitate comparability of the results.",

AB - Background/Aim. The Critical Incident Technique
(CIT) is a qualitative research method for measuring con-
sumer satisfaction by collecting and analyzing information
on participants and their activities. This method allows
participants to present their detailed experiences related to
a particular service in the way they perceive them. The aim
of this study was to examine patients' perceptions of an
incident that occurred in community pharmacies using
CIT and determine recommendations for improving the
quality of pharmacy services. Methods. A qualitative
study using an interview based on the CIT was conducted
in three pharmacies in Serbia, on the territory of Kruševac
city. The entire course of the interviews was audio-
recorded, which provided detailed research. Results. A to-
tal of 68 critical incidents were collected and divided into
two groups: positive (37) and negative (31), depending on
the (dis)satisfaction of patients with the services of phar-
macists in community pharmacies. The following thematic
clusters of pharmacy services were covered: accessibility of
community-based pharmaceutical services, pharmacist be-
havior, patient counseling, dispensing drugs and/or medi-
cal devices, compounding, and pharmacy
sales/commercial practice. Conclusion. The results show
that the CIT is a useful tool for evaluating and improving
pharmaceutical services. Based on the data collected, vari-
ous aspects of community pharmacy services can be im-
proved, and further research should be carried out.
AB - Uvod/Cilj. Tehnika kritičnih incidenata (TKI) je kvalita-
tivna metoda istraživanja z a merenje zadovoljstva klije-
nata putem prikupljanja i analiziranja podataka o
učesnicima i njihovim aktivnostima.
Rezultati. Ukupno je prikupljeno 68
kritičnih incidenata i podeljeno u dve grupe: pozitivne
(37) i negativne (31), zavisno od (ne)zadovoljstva klije-
nata uslugama farmaceuta u apotekama. Obuhvaćeni su
sledeći aspekti usluga u apoteci: dostupnost farma-
ceutskih usluga u zajednici, ponašanje farmaceuta,
savetovanje pacijenata, izdavanje lekova i/ili medicinskih
sredstava, rastvaranje lekova i prodaja/komercijalna
praksa farmaceuta. Zaključak. Rezultati pokazuju da je
TKI korisno sredstvo za procenu i unapređenje farma-
ceutskih usluga.
voljstva pacijenata kvalitetom farmaceutske usluge.

AB - Telepharmacy impacts pharmacists’ involvement in healthcare provision and health
care outcomes (1). This service was implemented in Slovenia since September 2020 (2),
opposite to Serbia where this service is not yet implemented. The objective of this study was
to compare views of community pharmacists from Serbia and Slovenia in regards to their
understanding of the concept of telepharmacy, perceived risks and facilitators, as well as
views on overall capacity to implement such services. Semi-structured interviews with
community pharmacists were conducted in Slovenia and Serbia from October 2020 to March
2021. Interviews were transcribed ad verbatim, coded, thematically analysed and results
were compared for each major emerged theme. In total, 33 community pharmacists accepted
to participate (10 from Slovenia and 23 from Serbia). Pharmacists from both countries
expressed great interest, motivation and understanding of the concept of telepharmacy.
Participants agreed that the services should be charged and remunerated mostly by health
insurance funds, and complement the provision of pharmaceutical care in person. They both
shared doubts regarding adequacy of pharmacists’ involvement in provision of healthcare,
recognising telepharmacy as a tool to enhance it. Participants from Slovenia expressed
concerns regarding standardisation, regulations and personal data protection surrounding
telepharmacy. On the other hand, participants from Serbia believed that implementing
telepharmacy is not yet possible due to lacking regulatory, financial and organisational
infrastructure. Slovenian telepharmacy service model may present a good example for
profound understanding of facilitators, risks and barriers related to development and
implementation of a new pharmacy service in Serbia.
oktobra 2020. do marta 2021.
telefarmacije još nije moguća zbog nedostatka regulatorne, finansijske i organizacione
infrastrukture.
apotekarske usluge u Srbiji.

AB - Emotional intelligence (EI) represents a set of skills that may help in the appraisal,
expression, and effective regulation of our own emotions and the emotions of others (1).
Pharmacists’ ability to communicate positively and create bonds with patients may have an
impact on patients’ health outcomes during the provision of pharmaceutical care (2). Despite
evidence that supports the hypothesis that developing EI in healthcare professionals (HCPs)
may increase their capacity to improve patients’ health-related outcomes, little is known
about it in pharmacy practice. Our study aimed to critically appraise available data on the
potential impact of EI on pharmacy practice. The search of papers in English published
between 2000 and 2021 was performed in the PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase
databases, by defined inclusion criteria. Only four papers were selected for further analysis.
In the study on the pharmacy leadership programs, it was found that they may support the
enhancement of EI levels. Another study suggested that hospital pharmacists’ EI may
influence the reversal of the negative correlation between autistic-like traits and empathy. A
positive correlation between EI and entrepreneurial orientation was found in a study that
involved practicing community pharmacists. One of the studies emphasized pharmacists’
superiority among various HCPs in the social skills, self-motivation, and self-awareness EI
sub-domains. Further research is required to provide evidence on the potential impact of EI
and EI development programs on the pharmacy practice, and patients’ health-related
outcomes. Such studies in Serbia would add strong value to the evolution of pharmaceutical
care.

sličnih autizmu i empatije.
samomotivacije i samosvesti.
potencijalnom uticaju programa razvoja EI i same EI na farmaceutsku praksu i ishode u vezi
sa zdravljem pacijenata. Ovakve studije u Srbiji bi dale snažan doprinos evoluciji
farmaceutske ZZ.

sličnih autizmu i empatije.
samomotivacije i samosvesti.
potencijalnom uticaju programa razvoja EI i same EI na farmaceutsku praksu i ishode u vezi
sa zdravljem pacijenata. Ovakve studije u Srbiji bi dale snažan doprinos evoluciji

AB - Medication non-adherence is recognized as a global problem associated with financial burden for patients
and healthcare funds. At the European level, different Medication Adherence Technologies (MATech) are in use. The
European Network to Advance Best practices and technoLogy on medication adherencE (ENABLE, COST Action
19132) was launched to: 1) identify current practices for Medication Adherence (MA) support by healthcare
professionals; 2) create a structure for the repository of existing MATech that could be used by different
stakeholders; and to 3) prepare guidance for sustainable implementation of MATech across European healthcare
settings. ENABLE gathered different healthcare professionals and academics from 39 countries, to achieve the set of
goals during a four-year period. Several cross-European studies were conducted employing stakeholder
consultation (Delphi) and survey methods, including analysis of current practices for assessing and supporting MA
in routine care, as well as barriers and facilitators to managing MA, work on medication management during COVID
pandemic, reimbursement pathways of adherence interventions and protocols to identify the best practices and
technologies. The MATech repository was designed by ENABLE members, and consultation of different stakeholders
is currently in progress. The repository structure includes information about the MATech product and provider,
goals and content related to managing MA, and information about the scientific evaluation and implementation. A
cross-European expert survey identified a limited number of MA enhancing interventions that are currently subject
to reimbursement. ENABLE identified the need for collaboration, infrastructure, and reimbursement to enhance the
uptake of MATech in daily practice.
opterećenjem pojedinaca i zdravstvenih sistema.
adherence (Medication Adherence Technologies - MATech).
identifikuju nabolje prakse i tehnologije.
sadržajima u vezi MA, i informacijama o naučnim procenama i implementaciji MATech.
MATech u rutinskoj praksi.

AB - Background: Emotional intelligence (EI) can help perceive, understand, and manage emotions and positively impact performance in any profession, including pharmacists, and consequently may have positive influence on patient-related outcomes. Although there is strong body of evidence suggesting that developing EI in health professionals (HPs) can increase their capacity to successfully communicate and build relationships with patients, thus increasing patient satisfaction, little is known about it in pharmaceutical care (PhC).

Objectives: This review aimed to synthesize available data on the probable impact of EI on PhC.

Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase databases were searched for papers in English dated between January 2000 and June 2021. Quantitative, qualitative, or mixed method studies on EI and PhC that involved practicing pharmacists were included.

Results: The inclusion criteria were met by 4 papers only. One reported positive impact of EI in reducing the negative correlation between autistic-like traits and empathy among hospital pharmacists. One study demonstrated that EI levels can be significantly enhanced through pharmacy leadership programs. Another study established a positive correlation between EI and entrepreneurial orientation in practicing community pharmacists. Higher EI scores were predictors of increased work innovation, proactivity, and risk-taking levels. One study reported comparative EI data between different HPs and found pharmacists' superiority in the EI subdomains of self-awareness, self-motivation, and social skills.

Conclusion: Additional research is required to provide evidence on how EI and EI development programs can add value to the provision of PhC. Processes and resources ought to be developed and secured to support the implementation and follow-up of such programs to bring long-term benefits to practicing pharmacists and consequently positively impacting patient-reported health outcomes.

AB - Peer education (PE) is a more effective strategy for improving the health of
adolescents than traditional methods (for example, teacher training) (1). Along the
improvement of knowledge, beliefs, attitudes and behaviours between students are also
improved with various medical problems in mind (2). We analysed the positive and negative
sides of PE from the perspective of students, as well as how many would be interested in
peer-to-peer education. A cross-sectional study has been conducted in November and
December of 2020 on a sample of students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of
Belgrade (N = 145), using a purpose-built questionnaire. Dominant were females (83.4%). As
the most significant positive side, 44.8% of respondents state that they are better acquainted
with the issues and the way of thinking of peer educators. As the main shortcoming, the
largest number of respondents (97.8%) state insufficient experience and training of peer
educators. Students would like to be educators (51.3%), mostly on the topic of disease
prevention, health promotion and healthy lifestyles (20.3%). The results show that students
have positive attitudes towards peer education, which need to be further researched,
especially because of its importance in adolescence.
fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu (N=145), korišćenjem namenski kreiranog upitnika.
Dominantno je bilo osoba ženskog pola (83,4%). Kao najznačajniju pozitivnu stranu 44,8%
ispitanika navodi bolju upućenost u problematiku i način razmišljanja vršnjačkih edukatora.
temu prevencije bolesti, promocije zdravlja i zdravih stilova života (20,3%). Rezultati

AB - The first batch is a medicinal product batch manufactured or imported after the
marketing authorization issuance, for the purpose of placing on the market (approved size).
Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Serbia (ALIMS) performs laboratory quality
control in accordance with approved the specification during the drug „shelf life“ and
analytical procedures during drug license issuing. Submitted to the ALIMS also: samples,
certificate of analysis (CoA) for analyzed batch, reference standards with appropriate
certificates and other requested documentation. Manufacturers experience indicates few
necessary things:
1. The outer packaging should contain the data approved in the formal completeness of
the variation, and not the data initially approved registration document;
2. List CoA data from the „shelf life”, not from „release“ certificate;
3. Analysis request, CoA and Batch Release Certificate should have the same batch size;
4. Submit the placebo and appropriate documentation for the analyzed sample;
5. Submit an unused reference standard and evidence that the cold chain has been
complied with as required;
6. The paper quality for printing drug instructions has to be 50 g/m2 ± 2% (GMP
guidelines);
7. If additional samples are submitted at the ALIMS request, the batch size has to be
corrected on the Request for Analysis, CoA and Batch Release Certificate
Quantities of drug samples for laboratory control provided by the client are given on
the ALIMS website. Sample size and delivery of immunological drugs (vaccines, serums,
toxins, allergens, blood and plasma drugs) are not the subject of this summary.
trajanja leka („shelf life”) i analitičkim postupcima odobrenim u postupku izdavanja dozvole
registracij;
2. Na CoA navesi podatke iz „shelf life”, a ne „release”sertiikata;
3. Zahtev za analizu, CoA i batch release sertifikatu treba da imaju istu veličinu serije;
placebo;
potrebi;
smernice);
sajtu ALIMS. Veličina i dostavljanje uzorka imunoloških lekova (vakcine, serumi, toksini,
alergeni) nije predmet ovog sažetka.

AB - Following challenges in the global environment, technologies in pharmaceutical care,
pressures to performance and timelines, community pharmacists are facing with impact of
adverse healthcare outcomes on their health and wellbeing, described in literature as second
victims phenomenon (1, 2). The aim of this paper is review of the national regulations in
protection of pharmacists in traumatic situations during the healthcare. From January 2022
to May 2022, the websites of the Ministry of Health, the Pharmaceutical Chamber, the
Paragraph, and the Legal Information System were searched using the keywords: patient
safety, healthcare workers safety, regulations, pharmacists. The results showed that
regulations protect patients, while healthcare workers, as second victims, are not protected.
Patient safety is regulated through Law on Health Care, Law on Health Documentation and
Records in Health, Ordinance on reporting, collecting, and monitoring adverse reactions to
medical devices. The protection of healthcare workers is regulated from the aspect of
working conditions, including interpersonal relations, through the Law on Safety and Health
at Work, Law on Prevention of Abuse, Ordinance on Internship and Professional Exam of
Health Workers and Associates, GPP Guide and Ethical Code of Pharmacists of Serbia. On the
website of the Pharmaceutical Chamber, there is a section “Report violence”, which allows to
fill the Questionnaire on violence against healthcare workers. After considering all the
aspects, it is conluded that the protection of pharmacists and other healthcare workers in
this context is not regulated, phenomenon is new and there is a room for discussion in
adopting future regulations.
U periodu januar 2022. -
maj 2022. pretraživani su sajtovi: Ministarstva zdravlja, Farmaceutske komore, Paragrafa i
Pravno informacionog sistema, po ključnim rečima: bezbednost pacijenata, bezbednost
zdravstvenih radnika, regulativa, farmaceuti. Rezultati pretrage su pokazali da propisi štite
pacijente, dok zdravstveni radnici kao sekundarne žrtve nisu pravno zaštićeni. Bezbednost
pacijenata regulisana je kroz: Zakon o zdravstvenoj zaštiti, Zakon o zdravstvenoj
dokumentaciji i evidencijama u oblasti zdravstva, Pravilnik o načinu prijavljivanja,
pripravničkom stažu i stručnom ispitu zdravstvenih radnika i saradnika, Vodič DAP i Etički
kodeks farmaceuta Srbije.
„Prijavi nasilje“ koja omogućava i popunjavanje Upitnika o nasilju nad zdravstvenim
radnicima u Srbiji.
regulative.

AB - Introduction
The process of transformation of pharmacy is closely related to the professional development of pharmacists, with the aim of increasing their competencies and performance. The biggest changes in this process are related to the education of pharmacists, both through undergraduate teaching and through lifelong learning, which includes learning through practice and continuing education, which is especially important for young pharmacists.
The aim of the research was to identify the most common challenges and problems faced by pharmacists and preceptors during professional practice through a systematic review and meta-synthesis.
Methods
The research included a systematic review (PRISMA method) and meta-synthesis of selected publications (6 of the initial 133) for the period from 2006 to 2020. The included publications were considering the development and evaluation of professional development programs for pharmacists and preceptors; challenges and problems faced by pharmacists in these programs. The quality ranking of 6 selected publications was performed according to the GRADE methodology. Further systematic search of data from selected publications was performed by meta-synthesis, which included the extraction of important determinants, and afterwards the thematic analysis in identifying the characteristics of the study, descriptive and analytical topics, which provided the basis for meta-synthesis of de novo topics.
Results
Six publications were selected (by the PRISMA method) and analyzed. Assessed quality of three studies was high, two were assessed as moderate, and one study had low quality. The publications were studied through three phases as a part of meta-synthesis. Phase 1 showed the difference in the type and characteristics of the examined population. In Phase 2, two descriptive topics of importance were identified: (a) development and evaluation of preceptor development programs and (b) outcomes of preceptor development programs. The results of Phase 3 provided three major analytical topics for the preceptor development programs in the future that pharmacists and preceptors face: (a) challenges, (b) problems, and (c) critical thinking skills.
Conclusions
Demands for increasing the performance of pharmacists are directly related to the role of pharmacists in the modern age, where they are expected to have a range of competencies, skills and abilities in a real work environment. Critical thinking skills are indispensable in the daily practice of pharmacists, and not enough attention has been paid to them as part of professional development programs for pharmacists and preceptors. This conclusion was revealed by a qualitative method, systematic review and meta-synthesis.

This conclusion was revealed by a qualitative method, systematic review and meta-synthesis.",

AB - Background: Pharmacists are often the first healthcare professionals that patients contact with their illnesses and requests for medical information, which is enhanced following the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Community pharmacists are expected and required to possess a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills. Self-assessment of these competencies is needed for their self-improvement. Purpose of the study: To assess pharmacists’ clinical knowledge and practice in the safe use of contraceptives, and to compare the scores obtained by external observation with pharmacists’ self-assessment of their knowledge as well as investigate the significance of preceptorship experiences. Contraceptives was chosen as the subject area in view of high rates of abortions as a means of contraception in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Methods: A questionnaire approach was used. The questionnaire included the following: the first domain contained two case scenarios (safe use of contraceptives), which evaluated clinical knowledge, a second domain in which pharmacists self-assessed their knowledge to resolve cases from the first domain and a third domain that measured the demographics of pharmacists (including experience in preceptorship). Dispensing practice was evaluated in the second domain. The questionnaires were distributed to a convenient sample of 100 pharmacists at the Annual Meeting of Bosnia and Herzegovina Pharmacists. The results were presented as counts (%). The groups (preceptors and non-preceptors) were compared using Mann-Whitney U test, paired assessments were analyzed by Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Spearman’s correlation was used to assess the correlation between variables. Results: Of the 100 pharmacists invited to participate, 84 completed the questionnaire (84 % response rate). There was no agreement between pharmacists’ real knowledge (average score - case 1: 2.71, case 2: 3.3) and their self-assessment (average score - case 1: 3.77, case 2: 3.91). There was no statistically significant difference in the actual knowledge of pharmacists (experienced/non-experienced in precepting), while the difference in the self-assessment was significant between these two groups. Conclusion: Pharmacists appear to overrate themselves, which leads to self-enhancement bias, in which the experience in precepting has some influence. Pharmacists’ capability in performing an objective self-assessment of their clinical knowledge needs to be carefully studied in the future to fully benefit patients.

AB - Background: Population aging is taking place at the highest historical rates, while growing needs for healthcare by the elderly put added and immense pressure predominantly on the primary care. Higher level of interprofessional collaboration is expected to improve healthcare system performance and to provide adequate delivery of healthcare for the elderly. This was the main driver for implementing the interprofessional collaborative models by many countries. However, these models need to be patient-centered and more focused on “what matters” to patient. This study aims to identify the attitudes of the elderly people (65+) towards interprofessional collaboration (IPC), namely collaborative pharmacy practice (CPP). Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out in Serbia from May 2017 to July 2017, taking place in five Geriatric Centers. A total of 187 men and women (average age 76.2 years), were interviewed using a structured questionnaire. Results: Respondents noted the insufficient visibility of the elderly and insufficient informing as the biggest problems faced by the elderly within the system of health and social care. The significant difference by gender and education was found in several questions. However, respondents believed that the efficiency of the healthcare system would significantly increase if there were closer cooperation and coordination between doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare workers. Conclusion: The lack of collaborative pharmacy practice represents a significant unused potential for improving healthcare for the elderly considerably, which under the conditions of limited resources may stipulate organizational changes or corrections. © 2021, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. AB - Purpose: In this paper, a practical framework is presented for the successful integration of buyers and
contract organizations based on the Critical Incident Technique (CIT).
Methodology: The initial pool of situations was developed inductively according to qualitative data
provided by ten experts in the field of outsourcing in pharmaceutical supply chain. Another group of
experts evaluated these situations regarding to their degree of realism as well as relevance and allocated
them to the five constructs (1) employee competence, (2) management commitment, (3) communication
between organizations, (4) organizational culture, and (5) regulatory framework.
Findings: The findings of the study show that communication appears to be the most frequent reason
while regulatory framework seems to be the last frequent reason for critical incidents during outsourcing.
Contract giver and service provide show diverging perceptions about the situations’ degree of realism and
relevance. Analysis of the interrater agreement shows that the allocation to a single construct is a challenge
due to the critical incidents’ complexity and multidimensionality.
Originality: The critical incidents database and the presented framework serve as preventive behavioral-based
quality management for the pharmaceutical supply chain.

abstract = "Purpose: In this paper, a practical framework is presented for the successful integration of buyers and
contract organizations based on the Critical Incident Technique (CIT).

AB - Genetic counselling is a complex process that helps people to understand and adopt medical, psychological and genetic aspects of the disease and enable them to make an appropriate decision. In this framework, we revisited all the existing models for decision-making and suggested their use in the process of genetic counselling, which may lead to more equitable and more favourable outcomes. Also, Donabedian's (Structure-Process-Outcome) model for the development of key performance indicators was applied to assess the quality in the process of genetic counselling. Quality indicators at SPO model in the process of genetic counselling were proposed. The social, economic and humanistic outcomes have also been identified. All defined quality indicators together represent a framework for monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of the process of genetic counselling. Although the new medical services of genetic counselling tend to be developed as a powerful multidisciplinary field, the implementation of quality management model will certainly help the development of collaborative practice.
