dc.description.abstractCholesterol standards prepared as aqueous solutions with Triton X-100 are applied to cholesterol determination by enzymatic test-reagents of Radonja-SDK and Behring, based on the CHOD-PAP method. The measured absorbances at 500 nm plotted against the concentrations of cholesterol standards gave calibration curves with the equations: Y(x) = 0.007235 + 0.066450x, r = 0.99991 for SDK and Y(x) = 0.001348 + 0.063463x, r = 0.99968 for the Behring test. The accuracy of cholesterol content determination in each standard is evaluated by comparison of specified standard concentrations (X) against the values calculated by factor 14.7 (N(x) = 0.19396 + 0.95865x, r = 0.99992) and 15.1 (N(x) = 0.019396 + 0.95865x, r = 0.99968) for the SKD and Behring tests, respectively. The comparison of cholesterol values in 40 different sera calculated via calibration curves and by corresponding factor showed a high correlation (r ≥ 0.999). The standards used as a sample gave a high precision of assay (KV ≤ 3.25%). The aqueous cholesterol standards were stable for 5 months at +4°C.en
