Spectrophotometric determination of some theophylline derivatives

Abstract
A spectrophotometric method for the determination of 8-chlorotheophylline, diprophylline and oxyethyltheophylline, is presented. Spectrophotometric determinations were carried out in CH3OH, 0.5 mol dm-3 H2SO4 4.65 mol dm-3 KOH, respectively. The absorbance of solutions, as a function of concentration, under the conditions given for the spectrophotometric analysis, obeys Beer's law. The proposed spectrophotometric method is sensitive, accurate and reproducible.
