| sr |
dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Purified water (Aqua purificata) is usually used as an aqueous phase of the cream, and if mineral water is used for this purpouse it could affect the physico-chemical and sensory properties of the cosmetic product itself, as well as its effectiveness. The Aim: To investigate if it is possible to develop cosmetic creams with the use of different mineral waters as an aqueous phase, as well as to explore if and how this change affects certain physico-chemical and sensory properties of creams. Material and Methods: Cosmetic formulations with different mineral waters as an aqueous phase were developt and investigated by means of pH and conductivity measurements, continual and oscillatory rheological measurements, textural and sensory analysis and efficacy testing. Results: It was determined that the use of different mineral waters affects physico-chemical properties which was confirmed by the change in all investigated parameters. The presence of different waters in the creams also induced the difference in the effects, and in the investigated skin parameters. Conclusion: The different composition of cations and anions in the formulation itself significantly affects the properties and effects of the cosmetic formulation and this use has the potential for use and for further investigation. | sr |
