The oils of two wild Salvia species from Serbia: S. nemorosa from the Deliblato Sands (Vojvodina), and S. glutinosa from the vicinity of the Vlasina Lake (southeastern Serbia) were subjected to analysis. The oil yields from the dried aerial parts from S. nemorosa and S. glutinosa were 0.3 vol% and 0.028 g%, respectively. The compositions of the oils were determined using GC and GC/MS. In the oils of S. nemorosa and S. glutinosa 45 and 40 constituents were identified, respectively. The main components of the oils of S. nemorosa were caryophyllene oxide (13.4%), beta-caryophyllene (10.1%), germacrene D (5.7%) and sabinene (4.7%). In the oil from S. glutinosa caryophyllene oxide (26.5%), humulene epoxide (9.6%) and spathulenol (3.5%) were the major constituents.en
